Warner/ Natheer:-

In Arabic Natheer usually means Warner, Prophet of Doom. One who seeks to effect his purpose by vivid, thrilling and apocalyptic descriptions of the rewards and joys in Paradise and the torments and terrors of Hell.

The title Natheer - like most of the Quranic terms and concepts - is plagiarized from the Hebrew word NAZIR which signifies one dedicated to God by a vow involving abstinence from intoxicants and from cutting one's hair.

5: 19 O people of the Book! now hath come unto you making (things) clear unto you
Our messenger [rassooluna] after the break in (the series of) Our messengers lest ye should say: there came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil) [natheer] : but now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil)[natheer]: and Allah hath power over all things.

7: 184 Do they not reflect?  Their companion is not seized with madness: he is but a perspicuous warner [natheer].

188        Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth.  If I had knowledge of the unseen I should have multiplied all good and no evil should have touched me I am but a warner [natheer] and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith."

#188        Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth.

28: 46 Nor wast thou at the side of (the Mountain of) Tur when We called (to Moses) Yet (art thou sent) as a Mercy from thy Lord to give warning [litunthira] to a people to whom no warner [natheer] had come before thee: in order that they may receive admonition.

33: 45 O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness a Bearer of Glad Tidings and a Warner [natheera]

35: 23 Thou art no other than a warner [natheer].

24 Verily We have sent thee in truth as a bearer of glad tidings and as a
warner [natheera]: and there never was a people without a warner [natheer] having lived among them (in the past).

#3907        It is Allah Who sends the Revelation. While there is warning in it for the heedless, there is good news for those who listen and repent. The warning always came to all peoples before punishment#

35: 42 They swore their strongest oaths by Allah that if a warner [natheerou] came to them they would follow his guidance better than any (other) of the Peoples: but when a warner [natheer] came to them it has only increased their flight (from righteousness)

Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 2114        Narrated byAbdullah ibn Mas'ud
When the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) recited the tashahhud....He then narrated the same tradition. In this version after the word "and His Apostle" he added the words: "He has sent him in truth as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner before the Hour. He who obeys
Allah and His Prophet is on the right path, and he who disobeys them does not harm anyone except  himself, and he does not harm Allah to the least.

*** In this Hadith, Muhammad is relatively conciliatory since he is leaving it to the individual's conscience whether one does Right or Wrong .

Unfortunately, Muhammad's DEEDS did not follow this precept since he had this conciliatory concept ABROGATED by the more WARMONGERING and HATEMONGERING verses that followed it ***

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 6.325        Narrated byIbn Abbas
One day the Prophet ascended Safa mountain and said, "Oh Sabah! " All the Quraish gathered round him and said, "What is the matter?" He said, "Look, if I told you that an enemy is going to attack you in the morning or in the evening, would you not believe me?" They said, "Yes, we will believe you." He said, "I am a warner to you in face of a terrible punishment." On that Abu Lahab said, "May you perish ! Is it for this thing that you have gathered us?"

So Allah revealed:

"Perish the hands of Abu Lahab!..." (111.1)

*** As invariably the case regarding the verses of the Quran, they were  almost always 'revealed' AFTER an event had taken place and not BEFORE.

On this particular occasion, Allah, the alleged

                                      CREATOR of the Universe,

was so upset with Abu Lahab for insulting Muhammad, that he 'revealed' a 'divine' Quranic verse, full of VENOM and HATE, just for the occasion.

One would wonder as to why Allah did not strike Abu Lahab DEAD, there and then and make him a stellar example for his power, thus helping Muhammad 'convert' most of the pagan Arabs to 'Islam' almost instantly, without the need to have had them TERRORISED and/ or SLAUGHTERED into it ***
